Born and raised on Kauaʻi, our connection to the ocean runs deep. The ocean has always been more than a place to us—it’s where we find adventure, peace, and a true connection to the island. We created KOA to share that experience with visitors and locals alike.
Based out of Nāwiliwili Harbor, we offer private fishing and sightseeing charters along the beautiful SE coastline of Kauaʻi. Whether you’re chasing ahi, mahi mahi, ono, and marlin, looking for whales and marine life, or simply wanting to see Kauaʻi from a different perspective, every trip is built around your experience.
Your charter is private and designed for your group, with trips for up to six guests. We take the time to understand what you want out of your day on the water and tailor the adventure around you.
For us, being on the ocean comes with responsibility. It demands respect, preparation, and attention to safety. We believe in taking care of the ocean that gives us so much while providing every guest with a safe, professional, and unforgettable experience.

Born and raised Kapa’a Kaua’i he has been in the ocean since a child and active on boats his whole life. Putting friends on fish and smiles on faces. Bringing an authentic and personal experience to every adventure. Captain Stains has years of tourism experience and a commitment to sharing the Aloha spirit with all.

Born and raised on Kauaʻi, Maka is an experienced boat captain with a deep connection to the ocean, Hawaiian culture, and the island he calls home. With a background in hospitality, outdoor recreation, culinary arts, coaching, photography, and operations, he brings a well-rounded approach to every adventure. Maka is passionate about sharing the beauty and stories of Kauaʻi while creating safe, memorable experiences rooted in aloha, respect, and mālama ʻāina.

Born and raised in Kapa’a, Kaua’i, Jacob’s love for the ocean inspired him to help create Kaua’i Ocean Adventures. He enjoys giving guest a genuine local experience while sharing the beauty of Kauai from the water. Jacob wants each guest to leave with great memories and a deeper appreciation for the island.
